HI,
I am Theodora Tsilikopoulou a New York based freelance Interior - industrial designer passionate about design, art and creation. I have more than 10 years of experience in interior and industrial projects such as houses, apartments, bakeries, retail, commercial spaces and many more.
I have fallen in love with art since I was a child and I couldn't help it. I had to follow that path. I studied industrial design and since 2005 I have worked as an industrial and interior designer in several companies in Europe and also as self-employed. I also have been teaching AutoCAD and 3Ds MAX courses.
I believe design is for everyone. This was the reason for creating this online design solutions service to be accessible for everyone and from anywhere.
As a professional designer I can translate your needs to a design that works at all levels. I am literally addicted to design and there is nothing else to except than bring the best out of me every single time I design!
Facts about me
- I was working as a Director Industrial designer at a playground manufacturer company in Greece and you still can find some of my designs around the country.
- I was working as a 3D interior designer in a manufacturing equipment company for bakeries and you can still find my designs worldwide.
- When I moved to the USA I visited a Greek Super market and it felt familiar even though I haven’t ever visited it in the past. Later I remember myself designing their interior 3Ds a few years ago.
- I have designed a stool as a student in University, a human body stool with no head that lately I saw a similar design sold in design firm stores.
- I like to refresh the design at home almost every time the seasons change. That makes my place a nice surprise for friends that they find amusing to find “what’s new” every time they visit!
- I don’t have a favorite design style. I can master any type of design my clients want. But as you see in my portfolio I like a pop of color and to mix and match styles.
- My first job as an industrial designer assistant was hard because I didn’t know much in 3D design. I wanted that job badly. I got a book for 3D design and I worked at my home computer after work daily and during weekends to become that best 3D designer I could be. That made me the Chief director of the design department of that company at the age of 25 years old in only 9 months.
- The majority of the design, modeling, editing etc programs I use I learned by myself. Studying books when Youtube and Google were not that popular. Nowadays I keep educating myself daily with Youtube videos and refreshing my skills with new trends and tools in design.
- I love to draw, diy and clay creations. Most of my paintings at home and decor elements are made by me.
- I was born and raised in Greece. In 2017 I moved to the USA. I have a beautiful family and we live in New Jersey.
- I have been doing Photography and Cinematography as a freelance photographer for the past 3 years.
- In 2008, I created two stop motion films. One of them, the “Element addiction” won the 1st prize at the Public Digital Film Festival (Greece). After that I took courses for film directors and created more short movies and stop motions.
- I have three YouTube channels. The first one was created in 2008.
- I want to travel all around the world. So far I a had visited, Italy, (Rome, Naples), France (Paris), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Figures), Portugal (Lisbon), Germany (Berlin), Czechia (Prague), Tunisia (Tunis), Turkey (Antalya), Bratislava, (Slovakia), Hungary (Budapest). In the USA I haven’t traveled much yet, just West Palm Beach, FL, Cape Cod, MA and lately we visited Utah (Lehi).
Greek and simple
My creativity didn’t stop in design. I DIY and do some cooking. I love to cook for my family and friends, enjoy food and moments. Since the pandemic I have developed the skill of food photography and videography. I studied a lot and then the Youtube channel and Instagram of Greek and Simple were born.
I post my pictures and videos on social media and I share a bit of my Greek temperament through our life stories and recipes.I create small movies. I hope that my viewers enjoy and feel relaxed.
